Nevyn Vinosh is an Advocate & Solicitor at Lim Wei Jiet Advocates & Solicitors.
He read law at the University of Malaya, and was called to the High Court of Malaya in July 2024. Nevyn's practice primarily deals with dispute resolution in commercial, employment, and public interest litigation. On the side, he writes at Hitam Putih — sharing his insights on law and life.
Nevyn is also the co-chair of the KL Bar YLPC Training & Entry Committee and a member of the Bar Council's Strategic Litigation Committee.
During his days in law school, he was the President of the UM Law Society, and is also an accomplished mooter — having been a two-time Jessup Moot champion in both the National and Asia Pacific rounds, champion of the Malaysia’s Next Advocate 2021, Lawasia International Moot 2019 and the top-ranked team at the FDI International Moot 2020.
Currently serving as a moot coach at his alma mater, Nevyn saw the Malaya team's back-to-back victories at the LAWASIA International Moots in 2022 & 2023, and went on to coach the Philip C. Jessup & Nuremberg Moot teams.
Outside of the law, he is a boardgame enthusiast and has been a squash athlete for 10 years, representing his home state Pahang at Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) 2022. Nevyn continues to represent the Bar at the annual Bench & Bar Games — and when he’s not busy representing the Bar, he can often be found at the bar.
