  • Appointed by the Attorney General to present the Federal Government’s case in Malaysia’s first ever Constitutional Tribunal set up to advise the King on the removal of members of the Election Commission for misconduct in organising the 14th General Elections
  • Co-counsel in a suit compelling the Prime Minister of Malaysia to bring into effect the lowering of the voting age to 18 years old & automatic voter registration by December 2021
  • Co-counsel for the State Government of Selangor from the High Court to the Federal Court in challenging the Election Commission’s re-delineation of 22 parliamentary seats and 56 state seats in the State of Selangor on grounds of malapportionment & gerrymandering
  • Co-counsel for Member of Parliament Maria Chin Abdullah in challenging the travel ban imposed on her by the Director-General of Immigration
  • Co-counsel for the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) against the Home Minister in a suit to register a political party in Malaysia
  • Co-counsel for Amnesty International Malaysia & Asylum Access in successfully halting the Malaysian Immigration’s deportation of 1,200 Myanmar men, women & children back to Myanmar on the basis of religious persecution of Muslims by the military junta & infringement of the Convention of the Rights of the Child
  • Advised gaming & lottery companies in Sabah on the constitutionality of the State Government of Sabah’s decision to ban the operation of gaming & lottery business under its municipal by-laws despite licenses issued by the Minister of Finance under the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953
  • Advised the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) on Malaysian & international law in respect of refugee family reunification pathways & the obligation of maritime agencies to rescue refugees in distress in Malaysian water
